I came about the name bFitSquared for my blog because I wanted a name that conveys more than fitness being something having to do with your appearance. One option was to use ‘Body by Bennett’, but I didn’t like how body-centric the name sounded. I guess it would be a good name if I was into selling lots of DVD’s and trying to promote a new way to get fit fast. That’s not me.
To me fitness is more than how you look. It is how you feel, and it should incorporate working out, and healthy eating, all things that make up a good lifestyle. That is the fitSquared part. I think people need to look past physical appearances, and start focusing on how they feel, how they perform. I know a lot of people who are thin or heavy and are in fantastic shape because they have a positive attitude on taking care of themselves. I find that when people focus only on appearance, they do things to get that appearance, or maintain it, and end up with damage to their bodies that may not become evident until 10 to 15 years later.
Lastly, the ‘b’ in bFitSquared is from my last name, and also a goal, to be FitSquared.
Train hard, eat well, and take care of yourself.
